Through my art I hope to capture the love that exists between humans and their pets. I am a retired special education teacher and animal lover who has painted part-time for over 40 years. Now, for the past 3 years I paint full-time.

My passion is to paint dog portraits as I love being of service just as dogs are of service to their humans. I love paying homage to this special bond. I have painted many wonderful pets such as rabbits, mice, cats and turtles. I also paint peoples’ personally significant images such as dolphins, flowers, homes and favourite views.

I am especially honoured when asked to create memorial paintings. I invariably feel the pet watching me as I paint, and making sure that I get it just right for their human!
